Mantles
The Mantle may be worn by male Priests who have gained forty-one or more Insights. The felt coat has a comfortable velvet drape across the chest and arms for freedom of movement.
The Plain Mantle may be crafted by a Priest of forty-one or more insights with full labor who visits a temple and speaks to the Priestess within. It uses spirulina, capsic bark. bittersweet, hyssop and paola nut.
The Suomi variant is dyed with spirulina, capsic bark, angelica and trigonelle. The Mileth variant is dyed with spirulina, paola nut, bittersweet and capsic bark. The Rucesion variant is dyed with spirulina, capsic bark, hyssop, paola nut and angelica. The Loures variant is dyed with spirulina, capsic bark, hyssop and chicory.
Loures dyes are available from the Piet higgler. Suomi dyes are available from the Suomi smith. Rucesion dyes are available from the Rucesion higgler. Mileth dyes are available from the Mileth higgler. The Oren Mantle can be bought ready-made on Oren Island.
Dyeing a garment requires two Aislings: one with Tailoring ability and a second who is a respected citizen. All dyeing uses up an Aisling's limited time, and higher insight armors may require a full day's labor.
